Mahindra New Compact SUV Spied
Mahindra is developing new range of SUVs and Compact Cross overs for India and other International markets as the part of Expansion of Mahindra to a Global SUV player. Autocar India brings this first spy pic of Mahindra Ecosport Rival which is codenamed as S101. Test Mule is completely camouflaged. Some of the parts are missing from the Spied car.Also the Test Mule has dummy head lamps and tail lamps.These are the very first prototypes to hit the road.
S101 will be the second product from Mahindra to get a Monocoque construction after the XUV 500.Mahindra is developing a upmarket version of S101 as called S102.which has more features and upmarket interiors.This will be the international model.S101 sit below the Quanto.To make the pricing more attractive Mahindra will share most of the parts with other family members.Like the Quanto S101 also measures below 4 meter so Mahindra can get excise duty benefits.There are No Details about the engine or transmission.But we can expect the engine size will be below 1.5 L to get excise duty benefits.Both petrol and diesel will be offered.
