Honda Amaze Launched at RS 4 99 Lakhs
Honda India Launched the Amaze sedan in India at the starting price of Rs 4.99 Lakhs ( Ex-showroom Delhi). Honda Amaze is developed Honda Asia Pacific R&D Centre in Bangkok. Honda Amaze is built on the extended brio Platform. Honda Amaze measures 3.9 m in length,1.6 m wide and 1.5 m tall. Wheel base for the Amaze is 2405 mm which is 60mm longer than the Honda Brio.

Honda Brio Amaze is powered by both Diesel and petrol engine. Diesel engine is the new 1.5 L i-DTEC engine form Earth Dream Series of engine which produces 100 PS @ 3600 RPM and torque of 200 Nm @ 1750 Nm. Petrol engine is the same 1.2 L i-VTEC engine which produces 88 PS @ 6000 RPM and torque of 109 Nm @ 4500 RPM. Diesel engine is mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox while the petrol get the option of 5 speed Automatic or Manual gearbox. Honda has given integrated engine head,light weight piston and connecting rod to reduce the diesel engine wait and this resulted in increasing the fuel efficiency to 25.8 Kmpl (ARAI). Petrol engine with manual gearbox offers 18 Kmpl and Auto gives 18 Kmpl.
Honda launched the Amaze is 4 diesel and 6 petrol variants. E, EX, S and VX. In petrol both S and VX variants get the option of Automatic gearbox. Honda offers AC,Central looking, Electronic power steering, chrome front grill, body colored bumpers, power windows, tilt steering, eco lamp, immobiliser and fuel consumption Display on the base E Variant. Amaze EX Variant offers all the above features plus 1 Din Audio system with front speakers, body colored door handles and rear view mirrors. Amaze S variant get all the above and some additional features like 2 Din Audio system, Steering mounted controls, power adjustable mirrors, rear arm rest, full wheel cover and key less entry. Honda Amaze VX full option version get high end features like Heat absorbing wind screen, Dual tone texture for the interior, rear defogger, indicators on turn indicators, Alloy wheels, fog lamps, Dual airbags, ABS and EBD. Honda offers ABS and EBD standard on Diesel and Auto variants.
Honda Offers 6 colors on Amaze they are Red, white, blue, black, silver and Titanium. Honda offers 40,000 Km or 2 year warranty for buyers. Honda also offers another 2 year or 40,000 Km warranty for buyers at Rs 9996 for petrol and Rs 15,375 for Diesel. Honda Amaze is manufactured at Honda Greater Noida Plant with 90 % of Localization. Plant currently make 440 cars per day and 1,20,000 cars in a year. Honda is going to Invest RS 2500 Crore in expanding the plant. So the annual capacity will be increased upto 2,50,000 cars by next year. Honda Amaze is available from today onwards in the 150 dealers in 97 cities. Honda want to increase it to 102 cities with 167 dealerships before the end of this year. Honda Amaze competes directly against the Swift Dzire which is the segment benchmark.
